Day 1. Arusha flight into the Serengeti
Fly from Arusha to a central Serengeti airstrip where your driver guide meets you with a private 4x4. After a short check in, begin an afternoon loop that takes in kopjes, short grass and river lines. Expect zebra, giraffe and elephants with a chance of cats warming on granite as the light softens. Settle at a tented camp and review plans for a pre dawn start.
Day 2. Full day safari in the Serengeti
Leave before sunrise to work lion ground near kopjes and scan short grass for cheetah. Carry a picnic so you can stay on productive lines through mid morning. Pause in shade at midday and then continue along water points that draw elephants and plains game. Finish on a ridge for a wide sunset and return to camp after dusk falls.
Day 3. Serengeti morning then transfer to Ngorongoro highlands
Use first light near watercourses for active movement and fresh tracks. After a late breakfast, travel toward the Ngorongoro highlands. The route climbs from open plains to forest and farms with cooler air on the rim. Settle at a lodge near the crater and prepare simple layers for the next morning which begins cool and clear.
Day 4. Ngorongoro Crater safari
Descend early into the crater to make the most of the cool hours when animals are active. Work the lake shore for flamingos, scan grass clearings for lions and look for buffalo and elephants near the forest edge. With luck you can see black rhino across open ground. Enjoy a picnic at the hippo pool and return to the rim in the afternoon for rest and views.
Day 5. Drive to Tarangire National Park
Travel to Tarangire where elephants move along the river and baobabs set a distinct scene. After lunch, take an unhurried drive that follows bends in the river for light and behavior. Expect large elephant groups, plains game and regular giraffe corridors. Reach your lodge in time for a quiet evening and another early start.
Day 6. Morning in Tarangire and return to Arusha
Use first light along the river for elephants and general game. After a short circuit, begin the road transfer back to Arusha for onward flights or a beach extension in Zanzibar. If you connect from JRO, we coordinate timing and ensure any stored luggage is rejoined en route.
